At Our Lady of School College, we understand that no two learners are alike and that it is important for the College to identify the strengths and interests of students for them to develop into their best selves.
The Learning Enhancement Department appreciates that its most important responsibility lies with the successful integration of students with special needs into the mainstream classroom.
At Our Lady of Sion College, we pride ourselves on providing each girl with an inclusive education that challenges, empowers and supports her in meeting her potential. A great deal of consideration is given to the creation of a curriculum and environment that recognises and supports individual differences.
At any one year level, the range of physical, emotional, social and cognitive development is incredibly vast. Our learning and wellbeing programs are flexible, adaptable and able to be tailored to meet individual need and circumstance. To this end, the College works in partnership with parents and guardians, external agents and allied health professionals so that the particular learning and wellbeing needs of students requiring additional support are met.
