Congratulations to the Class of 2023

Our 2023 Year 12 results are cause for celebration, not only because they are the culmination of thirteen years of education but also because they represent the unique qualities of the Class of 2023.

During their time at Our Lady of Sion College, the students who comprise the Class of 2023 displayed tenacity and commitment. They embraced not only the academic life of our school but also the faith, social justice and co-curricular opportunities afforded to them. They supported and encouraged each other and worked positively with their teachers. They entered joyfully into events and activities that in turn, strengthened school spirit and the sense of belonging so valued by our students.

This year our College theme ‘with a grateful heart’ represented the thread that held our community together, and while we farewell the Class of 2023 and wish them every success in wherever life may lead them, we are most grateful for the contribution they have made to the College. Each student’s journey is unique and I have great faith in their capacity to venture forth and embrace the future.

It is with great pride that I announce the following achievements:

2023 Highlights:

• 16.8 % of our students achieved an ATAR above 90, which places them in the top 10% of the state
• 50.7% of our students achieved an ATAR above 80
• Our Median ATAR was 80.05
• 9.3% of study scores were above 40
• Our Median study score was 33.
  

Congratulations to the 23 Top Achievers who achieved an ATAR above 90. 

We thank our teachers, parents and carers who have supported the Class of 2023 throughout their years at Our Lady of Sion College.
