Our Lady of Sion College has a long and proud history of educating young women in the Box Hill and surrounding areas. The College was established in 1928 by the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion and, faithful to their vision and mission, the Biblical values of compassion, justice, reconciliation, peace and love are guiding principles that underpin all that we do.
Our College works in partnership with our families to support each student’s development. We respect, value and celebrate each student’s gifts and all that she brings to our community. Our faith, wellbeing, academic and co-curricular programs seek to affirm and celebrate each student’s uniqueness.
We aspire to be a school that seeks truth through learning in a community of caring relationships – a community where each student is known and named, valued and nurtured, encouraged and supported through the personal relationships we foster.
We aim to foster in our students a love for learning, an inquiring and discerning mind, the pursuit of personal excellence, a compassionate concern for others and a strong sense of hope that they can become positive agents of change in their world. Ultimately, our learning environment and the varied opportunities we provide aim to support each student’s journey towards becoming the young person God created her to be.
We hope this website provides you with an opportunity to learn more about our community and the experiences that support our students to flourish. In the meantime, take a look at what some of our wonderful students have to say about what makes Our Lady of Sion College a special place to learn.
