Our Careers and Pathways program provides individual guidance and support for students in Years 9 to 12, facilitating each student’s knowledge of career opportunities and catering to their interests and abilities, so they are well equipped to make the transition into tertiary learning and diverse career pathways.
At Year 10, the L’Chaim program is designed to explore pathways and all the variables inherent in navigating career choices.
L’Chaim allows time to explore alternatives and resources, and to seek advice as students plan for post-school life. A large part of the program is Work Experience, which allows students to further investigate an area of interest and learn about the world of work.
Each year a number of students investigate alternative pathways by incorporating a Vocational Education and Training (VET) program into their studies.
Students have access to various tools and resources to assist in making informed decisions. Our careers website offers access to a wide range of careers-related information and advice, and regular updates.
Each year, connections are made with past students from a range of career pathways who are interested in attending our Mentors Breakfast. The Breakfast connects current Year 12s with these industry professionals and gives students a chance to ask questions and gain knowledge of their life experience. Interested participants should contact the Careers and Pathways Counsellor.
